Thank you for posting this. NEB needs to go, as well as the practice of carpeting farm fields in solar panels, which belong on roofs. I've lived off grid for forty years on a very tiny photovoltaic system of 400 watts. I would not expect anyone to help me pay for generating my own electricity nor should Maine ratepayers pay for these solar "farms" that are carpeting our farm fields. That's like asking a Mainer who is lucky to get her rusty old vehicle to pass inspection, to subsidize the wealthy neighbor who buys a taxpayer subsidized Tesla. Maine businesses cannot afford to stay in business under NEB and driving businesses out of Maine is as bad as it gets.
Agreed- the economic harm here has a significant magnitude. There is a plan to provide assistance to low-income people, but it doesn't help Maine be competitive as a business environment.
