Urgent: Support Dairy Farms in Maine

If LD 2188 doesn't pass, most dairy farms could go out of business

LD 2188 funds the dairy tier program. This is - in simple terms - a minimum wage program on milk prices. If this isn’t funded, it will “kill the dairy program” (a quote from a dairy farmer.)

At 11:45pm last night, the Appropriations Committee only funded 10% of the Tier program. There will be a floor debate at the Senate next week.

Dairy farms, like other farms in Maine, are essential to our food security and food sovereignty.
